Happy Holidays from the Smashing Pumpkins! The Smashing Pumpkins have released a special holiday song titled “Have Faithe, Be Merrie” featuring just Billy and his acoustic guitar. Download: Have Faithe, Be Merrie In an email sent from the SPRC out to fans there was a reminder of all the exciting things happening in 2012 for fans, from the release of Oceania, the EMI/Virgin reissues and other SPRC releases. The email from the Pumpkins also made mention of a very special tour planned for 2012. In a recent interview Billy said they were toying with the idea of touring Oceania by performing the entire album beginning to end before finishing the set with ‘classic’ Smashing Pumpkins songs, perhaps this is what they might mean by ‘special tour’ or something entirely different. Also, a massive happy holidays to all the supporters of Ozphoria! We look forward to 2012, it’s a special year for us … we turn 10 years old.  - Simon & Bree

It’s all happening in Pumpkinland at the moment.

Few hours ago Billy tweeted that a Smashing Pumpkins Record Club project is going to start, our guess this will be a avenue for the band to release songs from the archives. Corgan mentioned that an unreleased demo from 1992 will be free to anyone who signs up for a (free) membership.

There will be a video announcement from Corgan about the project to give more information about how it will work. We’d also suggest you follow the Twitter account @sprecordclub which has had a few updated from the Pumpkins since the start of this year.

Also, Billy has updated that Jeff, Mike, and Nicole rehearsing “Geek U.S.A.” … “if” the band are to play this on the upcoming tour, this would be the first time since 1999 on the Arising! Tour.

Smashing Pumpkins announce show in Auckland, New Zealand. The Frontier Touring Company are thrilled to announce the return of The Smashing Pumpkins to NZ this October for one show only at the Town Hall in Auckland on Tuesday 19th October. Frontier Members will have access to a pre-sale from 9am until 5pm Monday 27th September. Tickets will then be available to the general public from 9am local time, Tuesday 28th September.
