The Kinks - Destroyer

As we updated a few days ago Billy Corgan is set to appear on the Ray Davies album ‘See My Friends’ album released in November of this year. The song Destroyer is a odd one in the sense it is a mix of other songs by The Kinks. Taking parts of ‘All Day and All of the Night’ and combining lyrics from the song ‘Lola’ but this time the guy in the song becomes paraniod about taking Lola (a transvestite) back to his house.

Will be great to hear Billy sing this, as All Day and All of the Night was a staple cover in the live sets for Zwan years ago. Enjoy the performance by The Kinks on the Australian Don Lane show from 1981.

All signs are pointing to Tom Tom being the third or fourth song for ‘The Solstice Bare’ EP in the Teargarden by Kaleidyscope album. We are more than happy if this is the case, such a beautiful song.
